At round 1 of the VMCC winter series I was made painfully aware that my RS125 cylinder was stuffed. With two chunky chips on the exhaust port Nikasil coating, no piston would survive that abuse. After talking with a few local 125 riders and some great reviews from other 2 stroke riders in the USA, I posted the cylinder off to Millennium Technologies.
I got my cylinder back in the mail last night which was about 1 1/2 months from me posting it to receiving it back. It ended up costing NZ$350 of which most of it was shipping and a poor FX rate.
There's lots of chat in the pits around cylinder re-plating so I shot some photos of Millennium Technologies' work. I'm pretty happy with the results, the port windows are cleanly dressed and there's no sign of the previous faults. I'll definitely be sending more cylinders for re-plating in the future. Thanks guys. Check out their Instagram and facebook pages, they do some brilliant work.
