Qualified second on the behind Rogan and feeling great on the bike. Levels is perfect for 125GP racing with a beautiful set of flowing lefts after a long slipsteaming straight.
Race 1 and it's clear my starts haven't yet improved but I manage to place second behind Rogan who continues his run of dominance. I'm getting faster though and really look forward to the next race.
Race 2 is much the same as race 1 with Rogan stretching a gap to big to bridge when I finally get in my rhythm.
Race 3 and I'm determined as I ever will be to chase down Rogan. 1 and 1/2 laps into it and I'm still hanging in there when we come up to a 650 Pro Twin back marker from the split grid. Rogan gets through in the hair pin and I run a shallow line. Hard on the gas, the back steps out and pitches me over the handle bars. Damn it.
Two seconds and a crash. Could have been worse I suppose right? Despite the crash, I'm picking up pace and really enjoying the ride. Loads of enthusiasm and I'm starting to pick up a bunch of areas I can improve on. 1.10.864 was my best time of the races which for my first real event here is reasonable. I'm confident there's another second in there relatively easy with more track time. Onward to round 4 now and my home track Hampton Downs where I should be able to pick back up some points from this crash.
