We have go! 2 running, smoking, shouting 2 strokes just about ready for a shake down test this weekend. It’s really important to me to understand the machine I’m on when I race. I like to know it’s strengths, it’s weaknesses and I like to find new ways to go faster. For me this means getting my hands dirty in the rebuild and doing the hard yards myself. I have to say thank you to Jan and Roland Wobben for letting me be a part of this. It’s not always easy letting someone foreign into your workshop and trusting them with working on your machines, particularly when you’re not around. For what it’s worth I have a lot of faith in the bike I’m on. It looks very well put together and like it should do the business. The biggest challenge for me I think will be getting comfortable on it. It was made for tall Dutch racers and by comparison I’ve got the frame of a 12 year old Japanese girl so there’s a bit of work to do there. If you have any questions or things you’d like to see during my racing and travels this season, send me a message and I’ll do my best!
